Fair use rationale for Image:SamsunsporLogo.gif
[edit]Image:SamsunsporLogo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:29, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Proposed move
[edit]- The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: no consensus to move pages at this time, pending evidence of common English usage. - GTBacchus(talk) 00:05, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
TFF First League → 1. lig — This is the actual name of the league. This league, as well as the lower leagues, go through several name changes because there is a new sponsor every few years. I believe moving it to 1.Lig will erase any confusion and will also keep us from having to move it to, for example, Iddaa League A or Bank Asya and etcetera. Besides, articles shouldn't have sponsor names in the title as it is only temporary.| relisting billinghurst sDrewth 16:08, 21 July 2010 (UTC) | Invisibletr (talk) 04:13, 11 July 2010 (UTC), consolidated into move-multi by Schuhpuppe (talk) 22:16, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
- Comment -- n. lig doesn't sound like an English name at all, what about First League etc. ? --Schuhpuppe (talk) 22:19, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
- There are many sets of numbered leagues. Keep the "TTF" in the name. "1. lig" etc as names may be clear in Turkey, but most of us live elsewhere. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 05:55, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
- Relisting. Note that the naming should give clarity, not ambiguity to English speaking people. It is not clear to me that the rename proposals adds clarity. billinghurst sDrewth 16:08, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose, current name is more clear. Would prefer Bank Asya 1. Lig to 1. lig. Sponsors at least make it easier to know which league we are talking about and moving the page every couple of years is not a big deal. Recury (talk) 19:03, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
- See WP:AT and WP:COMMONNAME - what matters is what the league is known as in English. Some are best known in English by original names with sponsors, some are best known by translated names without sponsors, some are best known by the original name - English isn't consistent. Until there's some evidence of what the common name in English, I oppose any move. Knepflerle (talk) 15:05, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

Requested move 29 August 2024
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: move the pages to TFF 1. Lig, TFF 2. Lig, and TFF 3. Lig at this time, per the discussion below. Dekimasuよ! 02:37, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
– Following the examples of 2. Bundesliga, 3. Liga and the various other articles named in the format n. Liga, and based on the principle that football leagues are referred to as their native names as in the example of Süper Lig, I believe these articles should be moved. – anlztrk (talk | contribs) 06:46, 29 August 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. - Comment, I'd prefer they be moved to TFF 1. Lig, TFF 2. Lig, and TFF 3. Lig as natural disambiguators.--Ortizesp (talk) 13:02, 29 August 2024 (UTC)

- Oppose as no sources provided, and in any event, the alternative proposed by Ortizesp is preferable. A mere '1 Lig' is so ambiguous as to be useless. GiantSnowman 13:12, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose proposed move, support Ortizesp's proposal. Paul Vaurie (talk) 16:31, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
