Boon Pickens School of Geology
In terms of how close Boone Pickens was to his School of Geology I think it ought to be mentioned in the article that Boone Pickens Hosted Friends, Alumni, and Faculty of the Boone Pickens School of Geology at his Mesa Vista Ranch for annual three day retreats between 2008 and 2017 for the purpose of planning for the future development and direction of the school as well as general comradery. He also frequently attended and spoke at the School's annual awards banquets. Perhaps someone with more detailed knowledge than I can amend the article with this information.
