Reduction of content from short introduction to listing
[edit]In the past 2.5 years this Wikipedia article has been reduced from an short introduction text, see here, to a sort of extended listing. This more or less happened in three stages:
- Removal of short introductions of the particular sub-fields, starting om August 3, 2021 by an anonymous user, see here
- More similar removal from August 3, 2021 to the end of 2022, see here by a string of single purpose new/anonymous users.
- Further clearcutting of part of the intro and the last two sections about systems science organizations and scientist in May 2023 by User:Carchasm, see here
In the past years similar movement has been seen in other sub-fields, particularly the systems and systems theory article, while the systems thinking article had been removed for quite some time. In the next months/year I want to make an effort to revive this text and some more, and all feed back is welcome. -- Mdd (talk) 11:20, 30 December 2023 (UTC)
- Hi @Mdd - thanks for all your edits on these pages. I think it would help to have a coordinated strategy for the three pages, as there is so much overlap. I find it difficult to know which one should be the most general, representing the 'Systems' field - the 'Systems Science' one is the closest at present. I wonder if it would be better to have a 'general systems theory' article rather than a 'systems theory' one. Hinterlander1 (talk) 01:31, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
