Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

The building trades - union members one and all built these oil mines up here. The hiway to Edmonton and Calgary are remembered for those we have. lost. Currently onsite at Syncrude ( SCL ) 3 of 5 ambulance calls ae forheart problems. it is the old and weary who pay quite a price in fact not many boiermakers live past 65 yrs old. Local 146 would have the numbers but I knew too many of them. We need a forum for those who travel this hiway to the oil mines and their toxic spews. A metric tonne of sulpher is the allowable amount. It scares me to think of a bad day. But if you have an environmental improvement Syncrude or Suncor will try to implement it. But mining the black gold is a messy procedure.I request the input of others. Give us a line please. - 24.65.6.193

Strikes me as overly dramatic, and demonstrably false since Syncrude isn't unionized except the expansion projects. Air conditions are monitored, particularly outside, so the one tonne of sulpher per day is clearly safe for people outside on site (as I was myself), it might seem like a big number but only because people have no point of reference. Clearly there are other toxic chemicals on site that can be dangerous (read: fatal) particularly in enclosed spaces. But as this person points out, 3 of 5 ambulances called are for heart problems, not lung problems, which I say is more to blame on the poor living habits of many tradesmen on site, not that they are literally being worked to death. In fact, in other parts of Syncrude the delays and cost overruns on the UE1 expansion project is often blamed on the union workers not working hard enough ;). Anyway, my two cents. In any case, this guy's post was inappropriate for the actual article which is why I moved it here. It's not a message board, it's an encyclopedia article. TastyCakes 03:49, 25 October 2005 (UTC)

Why does the article say that Syncrude emits the most greenhouse gas while the reference webpages say otherwise?Lucgallant 21:56, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
