This article is a BLP of Sylvia Trent-Adams NOT political commentary on Vivek Murthy
[edit]Edits that add more and more content about Surgeon General Trent-Adams's predecessor need to stop. This is her BLP!!! Do not use this article as an opportunity to soapbox about her predecessor. Trent-Adams is a nurse. Do NOT use that fact as a jumping off point to snidely comment on the fact that Murthy is an M.D. No one said that a nurse can't be Surgeon General. There were other nurses who were Surgeons General of the U.S. although they were not black and/or female.
Also, for the editors who keep replacing NPOV sources like USA Today with Vox "explainers", please stop it. Vox is not considered an NPOV and RS by Wikipedia. Thank you!--FeralOink (talk) 08:21, 26 April 2017 (UTC)
- I have edited the section to remove the Vox source and replaced it with the New York Times. I've also added Newsweek and the Washington Post. The fact that she is not a surgeon and replaces one, is relevant, significant and widely reported by numerous, reliable sources. X4n6 (talk) 21:50, 27 April 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you, X4n6, for removing the Vox post and for adding content about Carmona. The Newsweek source is mostly about Murthy and repeats the same Trent-Adams bio details that were in the NY Times and WaPo. I hope that more information about Trent-Adams will become available so we can eventually replace that reference with something better.--FeralOink (talk) 11:21, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
- Glad to help. I think the section is fine now. Accurate, informative, properly sourced and bias-free. X4n6 (talk) 09:26, 29 April 2017 (UTC)
