WikiProject class rating

[edit]

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 05:56, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Compromise attempt

[edit]

It only seems minor, but to try and stop a potential edit war I made this edit, hoping it could be a compromise between people who want the main article image, and the people who want variety. Anoldtreeok (talk) 06:57, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File:Sydney from domain.jpg maybe a large resolution photograph however it looks very wrong, the trees seem too bright and the buildings dark, as if it has been photoshopped or is a HDR that has been over or underdone. File:Sydney skyline at dusk - Dec 2008.jpg is a featured picture on Commons, looks realistic lower resolution then the other photograph but still has quality. It doesn't matter if some have seen the photograph on the Sydney article but doesn't mean everyone has seen it as some people may search for the Sydney CBD article or find it linked elsewhere. Most if not all featured pictures on Commons and/or en Wikipedia are always added to the infobox of articles. Bidgee (talk) 07:06, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm all for you adding it back if you like, I was just concerned about where it could head. Perhaps simply making the image larger in the infobox would be enough? (Doesn't solve the variety issue the editor wants, but this way it's not totally against them).
Could be just bad lighting that gives File:Sydney from domain.jpg the wrong look you speak of. I always thought File:Sydney skyline at dusk - Dec 2008.jpg looked a bit fake to be honest, always looked like it had been altered to look prettier. Anoldtreeok (talk) 07:34, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, i didn't mean to cause a fuss. —Preceding unsigned comment added by EveryonehastheusrnameIwant (talkcontribs) 05:42, 9 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Image change

[edit]

Would anyone be opposed to me making File:Downtown-Sydney-CBD.jpg the main image in the infobox? The current image, while very appealing, is cliched in that its always used in Sydney related articles especially when discussing the CBD. A change in the angle and view is needed and the image itself is of a good standard.

Capitals?

[edit]

So the article title is 'Sydney central business district', all lower case after the first word, yet the first line in the lead has each word in upper case, though it is lower case thereafter in the body. Which is correct? I note capitalised is the predominant result from Google searches. Damien Linnane (talk) 04:23, 1 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
