DSO?
[edit]There seems to be no evidence of Sydney Philip Smith receiving a DSO during his career. It appears he has been confused with Major Sidney ("Crasher") Smith, DSO, AFC, CdG, No.27 Squadron C Flight Commander (later CO). If no one has objection I will presently remove the DSO reference.
