Can anyone remember the name of Sydney Allard's brother who competed in the Southsea motor club's President's Trophy Trial when the Ford 10 engine specials were just beginning to compete with the 30hp. Allards. As one of his crew it was our job to 'bounce' and pump up the tyres by handpump for the road sections. Seem to remember the start was at a pub/hotel carpark in Petesfield

Sydney Allard had two brothers – Leslie and Dennis. See his obituary in The Times, April 13, 1966. I assume you mean Petersfield? Rupertlt (talk) 21:56, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

There is an effort currently underway to restore the car mechanically so it can be run and paraded.
