Origin of surname

What was the national origin of her surname (i.e., from which nation did her father or his ancestors emigrate)? Badagnani (talk) 10:12, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

According to the 1920 census, both of her father's parents were from Russia. I know her last name sounds French, but there are some Jewish names that sound French (like this one, or Efron), just as there are some French names that may sound Jewish. The surname is actually a made up name, the original name was Palestine and the family were Russian Jews, but they changed the name to Pleshette because I think they moved away from Russia but not entirely sure.

Cause of death
