Referencing

The referencing for this article is not very helpful. All 22 are attached to the last sentence, so all the rest of the article seems (and is) unsourced and unreferenced. Obsolete References

This article is a broad overview with few details and mechanisms. The introduction is lacking in detail, and the organization structure is lacking in clarity. This article has many references that appear to missing; when followed, the links lead to expired web pages. This is not helpful to individuals wishing to learn more about relevant information. An increase in the up-to-date references would make the article more scholarly and high quality. The article also severely lacks citations in general. There isn't a single citation in the entire paragraph entry on composting. As composting is a fairly wide practice in the agricultural sphere, there should be an abundance of references to cite relevant information from. Aside from references, the article lacks clear structure. While the latter part of the article goes over a few of the component practices of sustainable landscaping, the article doesn't spend much time prefacing them with the history and motivation behind it. There are grammatical issues as well; sentence structures in a few areas lead to confusion, and there are a few missing punctuation marks. More paragraphs are necessary, as well as more details and images.

organization/ structure

Article is not organized well. I would put the background and benefits paragraphs before the progressive thought includes: Effects of non-sustainable practices paragraph. I would put that section as well as the sustainable landscape solutions at the end of the article. The whole article should really be re arranged. There are spelling errors and poor scientific writing skills. These include using the words such some, a lot, many, very important, etc. This article also does not have many pictures and i would recommend inputting a few. — Preceding unsigned comment added by EK33159 (talk • contribs) 21:11, 23 October 2019 (UTC)

Merging this article

I agree with the editor above, btw. There was talk at Sustainable gardening about merging that article with this. As I see it, there is a problem with Americans (inconsistently) calling small gardens "landscapes" in many of these articles, but irrespective of that: in the talk page people claimed this article is about designing municipal parks and the other article is about home gardens, however, the content of this article is home gardening and the other article is about an American company selling certifications for municipal park designers, so this argument is moot. I want to merge this with that article because the usage of the word "landscape" is all over the place, from agricultural landscapes to tiny home gardens in this case, and anyway the text is all about home gardening.
