Initial comments

[edit]

This article strikes me as falling short of Wikipedia quality:

First, the bulk of the page seems to be derived from an article in another source, although it isn't properly referenced.

Second, the style is far more florid than is appropriate for an encyclopedia.

Third, this appears to be a vanity article. The article was a stub until a single anonymous user made significant additions.

Fourth, the article is highly POV and might even be described as fawning. Some consideration should be paid to other views of Schutz's work.

And fifth, the article may be mistitled; if the subject is going to be Schutz's company, Blue Mountain Arts, then that should be the title.

I will make some revisions to address these issues, but since I am new to this I wanted to make my reasoning clear and invite others to give their opinion. ombret 17:40, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Only" $35 million cash

[edit]

Wow, if my family business sold for only $35 million, I'd be disappointed too. This article twists and turns through positive and negative POV like a snake. I'd clean it up if I could see how. Paul 19:07, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

== It Is 2010, Mature Editing Would Be Great==

I can't beleve it is now the year 2010 and this page has not been edited yet! It would be nice to see how to get to it. Susan Polis Schultz has a natural design as far as art. Her writings are about life, love, encouragement, and so forth. Everyone needs a kind word at one moment or time in life. Why badger Blue Mountain? They are just as good as Hallmark..... POV biased

[edit]

Especially the last section is written like an advertisement Stapmoshun (talk) 18:19, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ouch, yeah that paragraph was pretty bad. I edited it heavily to remove a lot of the opinionated language. A lot of the language was just unmarked quotes from the film's synopsis page or other stuff like that. Hopefully my edit is an improvement. ScottCarammell (talk) 11:38, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Book merge

[edit]

I have merged the article To My Daughter with Love on the Important Things in Life after a search for indications of WP:NBOOK and finding none.
