References and Sources

[edit]

I can't really make sense of sources since half of them are not citing web results.--NorthBond (talk) 13:43, 10 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I had the same thought. Should "sources" be moved to External Links? Stanleydanley (talk) 22:13, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I clean out some of these as they were not verifiable, and some were to her own site. 78.18.228.191 (talk) 11:40, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Notbility

[edit]

Notability is very thin here. The small amounts of refs are low grade and are BLP1E (i.e. that she climbed Everest). She is not a notable mountaineer (not even a notable US mountaineer). She climbed the Seven summits (which is really Everest plus the money to travel to the others), wrote a book on it, and then got a UPE to make her Wikipedia page for her motivational speaking career. But unlike other valid motivational speakers on WP, she never attracted any subsequent RS. Should be sent to AfD. 78.18.228.191 (talk) 11:47, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Notability is very thin here. Per WP:NCLIMBER, the Seven Summits is a well-trodden route to create a motivational speaking career (e.g. pay your $50k to climb them, write an inspiration book, get publicity, and get a WP BLP). Aszx5000 (talk) 15:44, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
