Removal of content

Supplication versus Petition
[edit]We need to consider differentiating between prayer of supplication and prayer of petition. The meanings of the words overlap considerably, and in various situations have more specific and distinct meanings - for instance "petition" has a particular common usage in respect of appeals to governments for changes in law.
However asking God for the grace to resist temptation, and asking him for a new bike are not very similar at all. Oliver Low (talk) 15:57, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
