Hey, I'm going to be reviewing this article. Expect comments by the end of the week. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 13:36, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
General comments
[edit]- See MOS:'S.
- Lead section looks good.
- In #Benefits: "The popularity [...] have also" → "The popularity [...] has also"
- Is the usage of "US$" and "USD" necessary for this article? (found in #Cost)
- "In order to" → "To"
- This should be changed for all uses to avoid wordy sentences.
- Done JParksT2023 (talk) 14:44, 13 May 2021 (UTC)
- "A number of" → "Several"
- This should also be changed for all uses.
- Done JParksT2023 (talk) 14:46, 13 May 2021 (UTC)
- "all-time" → "all time" (change all uses)
- Done Fixed all except for the first reference, where the usage of the hyphen is appropriate since it is an adjective of the word "viewership" and comes before the word. JParksT2023 (talk) 14:56, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
- "ad equated" → "adequated"
- Done "ad equated" made sense in the context but was a little unclear, so I changed the phrasing to "The narration of the ad likened the emergence from the crisis to the second half of a football game[...]" (emphasis added) JParksT2023 (talk) 15:10, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
- In #Local_advertising, try avoiding the repetitive "In [year], [event]".
- Done Removed three out of the six usages JParksT2023 (talk) 15:16, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
- The phrase "only of the" doesn't sound right.
- Done Removed "of" JParksT2023 (talk) 15:34, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
- Remove the comma after "abortion or Christianity".
- Add a serial comma after "MoveOn.org".
- "sponsor the NFL" → "sponsor of the NFL"
- References
- adage.com → Ad Age
- Deadline → Deadline Hollywood
- Forbes.com → Forbes
- NYTimes.com → The New York Times
- Time.com → Time
- TV By The Numbers → TV by the Numbers
- Wall Street Journal → The Wall Street Journal
- Are publisher parameters needed if they are the same as the website?
- The link to #22 might be dead (from Sports Business Journal).
- Done Found correct link JParksT2023 (talk) 13:35, 3 May 2021 (UTC)
- Citations #41 and #42 do not currently exist ("invoked but never defined").
- Done I just removed them, since I don't know what source was being used and there was already another source there. JParksT2023 (talk) 14:12, 3 May 2021 (UTC)
- Same issues for #49, #117, #196, #197, #198, #226, and #238.
- Citations #65, #73, #166, #208, #245, and #249 are missing their website parameters.
- #128 is missing several parameters (date/author/access-date).
- #153 has an error with its URL and citation.
- Properly cite #223 and #224.
- Did you mean #222 and #223? #224 looks fine.
- I think you removed a reference; now the numbers don't match but yes, #222 and #223.
