Whisky or whiskey?

[edit]

So which do they produce: either in terms of style of whisk(e)y, or in terms of English language labelling/common references? Alai 06:34, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

According to their site, they make "whisky".[1] Changed spelling within article to reflect this. -Aknorals 00:06, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Aki Liqueur

[edit]

This page mentions a liqueur supposedly discontinued in 1988. Even supposing this is interesting enough to be included, I can't find anything about this drink - a Google search suggests there's lots of Suntory beers with Aki in their name, but I can't find anything about this liqueur. Anyone know anything about it? --98.91.18.57 (talk) 20:20, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Product category cleanup regarding Beam Suntory

[edit]

I notice that the "Products" section of the article includes such products as Yamazaki, Hibiki, Hakushu, Teachers, and Bowmore, but does not include Jim Beam, Maker's Mark, etc. The Beam brands are listed in a separate section of the article called "Holdings". However, according to the Beam Suntory website (e.g., http://www.beamsuntory.com/brands/hibikisupsup-whisky and https://beamglobal.s3.amazonaws.com/sites/505757e5851916549a000002/theme/pdfs/pdfs/Brands_List_043014.pdf) all of those brands appear to be Beam Suntory products. I don't see any justification for the continued separate categorization here between the Japanese brands (and the former-Suntory non-Japanese brands) and the Beam brands. As far as I can tell, all of the whisky brands (and probably all of the liquor brands) are now part of the Beam Suntory subsidiary. —BarrelProof (talk) 12:23, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
