[edit]According to the text, the revival period began in 1055 and ended in 1258. But the text ends by 1150s. What was the significance of 1258?Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 06:07, 4 July 2019 (UTC)
- "Thereafter a period of Abbasid resurgence and ecumenism followed until the Mongols sacked Baghdad in 1258." Also the last paragraph is about the rise of the Ayyubids in the 1170s. Some scholars take "Sunni Revival" to refer only the first century or so of Seljuk dominance, while others include the whole period of Sunni expansion ending with the Mongols.
