employee of the Sunlight Foundation

[edit]

This page was created by an employee of the Sunlight Foundation. - PB —Preceding unsigned comment added by Paulblumenthal (talkcontribs) 21:28, 31 July 2006

Which is not the best thing to do, btw, but it was four years ago. If anyone who is associated with Sunlight Foundation (or any associated project) would like to edit this article, please read Wikipedia's conflict of interest policy. Thank you. ~PescoSo saywe all 19:52, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've added a COI flag to the article, given that there appears to be a direct relationship between the Sunlight Foundation and each of the following Wikipedia editors: User:Paulblumenthal, User:Stereogab, User:Ebankey, User:96.231.127.110, User:71.191.1.8, User:68.50.74.96, and User:69.244.92.218. There is a certain irony in a foundation such as Sunlight's seemingly sneaking around Wikipedia without adhering to Jimmy Wales' "bright line rule" on COI editing, even while Jimmy Wales serves as an advisor to the Sunlight Foundation! - 2001:558:1400:10:F92D:8ADF:AE1E:8DD8 (talk) 13:33, 30 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Needs cleanup

[edit]

I'm not disputing the notability of the subject, just that this is written like a piee of promotional literature for the foundation and needs cleanup to be encyclopedic. Janus303 21:48, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with you, but what the heck is a piee???? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.251.168.194 (talk) 00:47, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Janus303 made a typo and meant piece. I am working on a copyedit. Geraldshields11 (talk) 20:26, 19 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

List of required disclosures?

[edit]

I'm looking for the list of disclosures that members must post on their websites. Where can this be found? I thought the amendment to require members to disclose earmarks was voted down. sohmc (talk) 21:24, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Good issue to bring up, earmarks. I do not know where to find them but this would be a good project for the Sunshine people. Geraldshields11 (talk) 20:27, 19 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Who are "the Sunshine people"? - 2601:B:BB80:E0:8141:56DB:8DC8:55D7 (talk) 14:46, 31 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Something about their API

[edit]

The Sunlight Foundation offers a number of free API's for use by programmers and web developers. You can find info about them here: https://sunlightfoundation.com/api/

These are most useful, and I think somebody should add a paragraph or so about them.

Thanks,

Dapperrync Wikipedia does not do journalism. The community here summarizes what has already been published, either by journalism, research, or other expert attention.
If you find a source reviewing or critiquing their APIs then please share and Wikipedia can summarize that expertise. Blue Rasberry (talk) 14:35, 22 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
