Move Request
[edit]It makes no sense for "sundowning" to reference this album instead of the medical condition. If you look at page view stats from the last 2 months, Sundowning received approx 600 views per month (including those who followed the redirect to Sundowning_(dementia)) while Sundowning_(dementia) received approx 5000 views per month. Given that 25% of the elderly over 75 have dementia, people are much more likely to be looking for medical info and aren't interested in seeing what is effectively an ad for some 2006 album by a small NY punk band.
I propose that Sundowning redirect to Sundowning_(dementia), Sundowning be renamed to Sundowning_(album), and a redirection link to the album added to the top of the Sundowning_(dementia) page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.9.183.25 (talk) 23:02, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
- According to the pages that link to Sundowning there are no pages related to the medical condition that link to the album. All pages that link here are related to the band. Since the medical condition gets more page views it will also turn up first in a Google Search. So, the only people that mistakenly come here looking for the medical condition are the people that use the Wikipedia search box. The number of page views for This Is Hell's album Sundowning compared to their other studio album, Misfortunes, are fairly similar. Therefore, there are only a very small handful of users that come to this page looking for the medical condition. With the disambiguation template placed at the top of the article, viewers can easily be redirected to what they are looking for. There is also a massive spike in page views for the medical condition on October 11, 2009, but there was not a spike in views for the album article. However users got to the page, they did not go through this page on that day. It seems as if users are getting to where they need to go just fine, so there is no need to move this page. I'm a medical student, just FYI. The term "sundowning" is the name of a medical condition and it just so happens that some band that nobody has heard of uses that term for the title of one of their albums. I rely on wikipedia to look up medical terms quickly when I am studying or work on case presentations. Regardless of the number of people visiting the pages, as was stated above by Fezmar9, the name of a very common medical condition should take priority over the title of a band's album when using the wiki search box. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.234.132.233 (talk) 21:50, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
I strongly agree--the medical article should be at "Sundowning", and this article should be at "Sundowning (2006 This Is Hell album)". 206.208.105.129 (talk) 18:58, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
I think what's even more telling is that the album title is itself a reference to the medical condition. It's pretty clear that if you search Wiki for "sundowning," the medical condition page should come up and this album's page should be the disambiguation. nicholus.h 19:55, 19 June 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nicholus.h (talk • contribs)
I have submitted a request that Sundowning (dementia) be moved to Sundowning. It is clear that the medical term should have the primary title, esp when you consider that this album's title is a reference to the medical phenomenon. nicholus.h 13:31, 26 August 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nicholus.h (talk • contribs)
