Is It Really Barium Sulfate?

[edit]

Please source the statement (which may be vandalism for all I know) that Sunday-stone is barium sulfate. The Natural History Museum (the one in London) says at

https://www.nhm.ac.uk/discover/sunday-stone-recording-englands-coal-mining-past.html
that it's "calcareous" and is "calcium carbonate" (i.e. not barium sulfate). One of the footnoted sources is "404 Page Not Found" (404 having recently taken the "World's Most Prolific Author" title away from Anonymous, knocking Ibidem down to third place) and the other source says that this stone is "calcareous", making me wonder how barium and sulfur got in here.2600:1700:6759:B000:1C64:8308:33BC:E2D6 (talk) 20:36, 24 December 2023 (UTC)Christopher Lawrence Simpson[reply]
