ADR vs. Dolph Ziggler - World Heavyweight Championship

[edit]

Someone wrote in this match underneath the current match listing. However, on the August 2nd pre-taped SD! (WWE pre-taped both the 7/29 RAW and the 8/2 SD! episodes this past week), Christian won a triple threat match between himself, Rob Van Dam and Randy Orton to become #1 Contender for Alberto Del Rio's World Heavyweight Championship. As such, I am requesting that the written in match be deleted and as the third match in the match table, Alberto Del Rio vs. Christian - Singles match for the World Heavyweight Championship be added. It really doesn't matter that the show hasn't aired yet. 216.157.195.66 (talk) 14:41, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

it also looks like Dolph Ziggler will be facing Big E Langston, according to rumours. Also, Bray Wyatt will face Kane at Summerslam, and The Shield will either face Mark Henry & the Usos or Reigns & Rollins will defend their titles against Jack Swagger & Antonio Cesaro. There is also talk that there will be a Divas match in the pre-show. Also, Damien Sandow vs Cody Rhodes for Sandow's briefcase. When I get all of this right, I'll be laughing. Would you like a spoiler? Daniel Bryan will win the WWE Championship and Randy Orton will cash in his briefcase and win!(by Goatesy) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Goatesy (talkcontribs) 09:02, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Not done We'll add the ADR-Christian match when it is officially announced by the WWE on their website, as everything needs to be reliably sourced. Everything in your second paragraph is based on rumour, and so will not be added. — Richard BB 09:26, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Kane vs. Bray Wyatt

[edit]

Kane vs Bray Wyatt will be an Inferno Match as Kane stated so can that stipulation be added for the match

☒N Not done and not likely to be done. They said it was a "Ring of Fire" match, not an Inferno match. While it sounds like it is an Infero match, that's not what the WWE are calling it and they haven't stipulated the rules on the website, so it remains listed as a "Ring of Fire" match instead. — Richard BB 19:50, 6 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Kane vs. Bray Wyatt, not officially an Inferno Match

[edit]

It is officially listed just as a singles match on WWE's SummerSlam webpage currently, but it does talk about Kane's "Ring of Fire" challenge. The only mentions of an Inferno Match come from fan comments, which are based only on their assumptions and not anything official.

They said it was "In" a ring of fire not it "was" a ring of fire match. WWE tweeted the inferno match. A match surrounded by fire is an inferno match. BlackDragon 16:12, 7 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
@Black60dragon:Not without a citation, it isn't. I've changed it back to be a singles match and added a note. — Richard BB 12:01, 12 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
He is blocked so I do not think he will see this. If anything PWInsider said the match is basically a Inferno match, except you do not have to put your opponent in the fire to win the fire it is just to keep out interference. STATic message me! 15:02, 12 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I didn't realise he was blocked. I thought he only just came off a month-long block, too. Either way, I saw the same dirtsheet. While it's similar to an inferno match, it's obviously not the same because the victory conditions are different. I think it's best to leave it as a "Ring of Fire match" (which is what the WWE source calls it) or have it as "singles match inside a ring of fire". — Richard BB 15:41, 12 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah just did, unsurprisingly for the same thing. My bad I saw your edit after I commented here. I thought you changed it to a regular singles match at first, "Ring of Fire match" looks perfect. However maybe we should link it/redirect the name of the match to Inferno Match, then someone can create a section/add to the history of the match, with this match. STATic message me! 15:53, 12 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I think we should only do that after the subsection in the Inferno match article has been created; otherwise it'll imply that it's just a regular Inferno match. — Richard BB 17:38, 12 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Actually if you go to Inferno match there is already a paragraph discussing the match. STATic message me! 18:14, 12 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Oh right, terrific. I see no reason why it shouldn't be redirected, then. — Richard BB 07:25, 13 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If the recent plastic ladders and cotton straps are any indication, the ring will be surrounded by LED screens with pictures of fire, and fans can text "YAY" to increase the brightness or "BOO" to lower. Hope I'm wrong. InedibleHulk (talk) 17:03, 18 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

"Ring of Fire Match"?

[edit]

Kane didn't say anything about a "Ring of Fire match". He said "no one can save you from inside a ring of fire." Can we stop making up match names please? To clarify, I'm not arguing the is-it/isn't-it an inferno match point, I'm saying there's no such thing as a "ring of fire match" and thus the phrase should be removed from the Background section. 108.6.8.219 (talk) 13:04, 7 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

2nd Theme Request

[edit]

There's a second theme song for SummerSlam ("Gold Rush" by Clinton Sparks, 2 Chainz, Macklemore, and D.A. Wallach) that was played on the August 5th edition of RAW as they announced Cody Rhodes vs. Damien Sandow. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.189.135.122 (talk) 03:10, 12 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
