Also, it's one of the reasons why Washington D.C. has just been twinned with Sunderland.
Indeed, I've added information about the twinning to both the DC and Sunderland articles. The picture caption on this article says it's the cradle (or rather second after the last edit) of the Washingtons. I wouldn't even say it's a cradle, they only lived there for what, a couple of generations before George W. hedpeguyuk 1 July 2006 11:00 (UTC)
