I corrected some of the measurements according to the Omak Stampede website, http://omakstampede.org/?page=suicide. I don't have the metric conversions. Quite a few of the "facts" are taken from the WSJ article and the Humane Society article, and are not neutral POV, to say the least. There are still errors: the river is NOT shallow enough to gallop (if you have information otherwise besides the HS article, please provide the citations, because they don't.) The city of Omak has taken lengths to make sure that the river is deeper there, to prevent injuries to the horses. The Okanogan River is NOT the width of a football field. Again, I don't have the actual width, but if you are going to say it, please provide a source. I was looking at the hill a few days ago, and it isn't 60 degrees, maybe 45. High school kids ride their bikes down it. The only source for this is the Humane Society, which again is not NPOV. I'm not trying to be rude, just to get the facts straight. Thank you very much for your help. Hollielol (talk) 17:52, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
