I created this article by splitting this section from Georgia Board of Regents. I posted a notification of intention to split, and no one objected to it. I expanded the article prior to the split to add volume. Why is it marked for deletion? I referenced, notified, and detailed my intended action in advance. What is the reason for deletion? This content (to my knowledge) is not a re-creation of a previous article. There is an article with the same content for the state of Massachusetts, Massachusetts State Student Advisory Council. For what reason should the Georgia Student Advisory Council not mandate a separate, and equal, article? This Council is fairly independent from the Board of Regents, in operation and information. I petition to remove the "Speedy Deletion" suggestion and keep the article titled "Student Advisory Council of Georgia." (Sirkevinalot (talk) 22:27, 12 September 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Hi User:TheGerm, you recently tagged Student Advisory Council of Georgia as a recreation. That article has not been previously deleted; please clarify? Is the article a recreation of an article with a different name? Thanks - KillerChihuahua?!? 22:53, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, I thought it was re-created from Georgia Board of Regents, and I should have read this discussion before tagging. Sorry about that, it looks like the split was based on WP:CONSENSUS and WP:SILENCE. --ŦħęGɛя㎥ 12:45, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Poor Naming?

[edit]

As most colleges and universities have a Student Council of some form and many call them "Student Advisory Council", can this be re-titled as "Student Advisory Council of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia" to avoid confusion? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Loftwyr (talkcontribs) 15:48, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Additional Information?

[edit]
  1. Should the individual Colleges be linked to their respected websites.
  2. Should there be a spot for including the website, if it exists, for the Student Governments that represent these institutions.
  3. Should additional contact information be added for the individual presidents, such as links to personal site/social networks.
