DDG-47/CG-47
[edit]Is there a cite that DDG-47 was intended to carry the name Arleigh Burke before it was redesignated CG-47? All of the resources I've seen say that CG-47 was named Ticonderoga from her keel laying.
- The Dictionary of American Naval Fighting Ships entry on the CG-47 says nothing about it. So I would tend to believe it wasn't officially named after Arleigh Burke at any point.
