Probably... As with most enzymes there is probably some interchangeability between substrates and products. I am not aware of anyone treating this particular enzyme as a lyase, in the literature it is considered a synthase and several studies have investigated it's action on tryptamine derivatives as precursors... Someone familiar with wikipedia-policies ought to look into the praxis for enzymology in this encyclopedia. 81.224.47.12 (talk) 18:59, 5 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
