Friday Night Live
[edit]That the song was faded for political reasons is not an established fact. The producer, who presumably knew in advance what song the Ps were going to do, later said it was faded down for reasons of time (as is, or was, quite normal for music items on live shows).
Ben Elton also said that most viewers wouldn't have understood MacGowan's lyrics, especially in a live performance, anyway - which is a fair point. Why C4 would have censored the song when ITV broadcast Who Bombed Birmingham not long after this beats me.
I don't have proper references for this stuff, so here it is. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.102.64.222 (talk • contribs) 17:53, 10 February 2008
