Proposed merger

[edit]

Support as they are the same thing. --M1ss1ontomars2k4 23:12, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

They are not the same thing. SGBS is part of SBS but Strathclyde Business School offers undergraduate courses, and SGSB offers postgraduate courses. --R Pollack 10:00, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"It is one of the top-rated UK business schools for teaching quality and research." deleted because no reference cited. --R Pollack 10:02, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Support as SGBS should be a subsection of SBS to avoid duplication. No other business school is divided into two entries. --Duncan 10:52, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Less than 1% of business schools in the world hold "triple accreditation" - Strathclyde is one of them. Currently, only 25 business schools out of around 3500 worldwide have been fully accredited." - if you want to include this provide a reference to support it. R Pollack

"There are at least 3500 MBA programmes worldwide, so for someone about to embark on one, choosing the right programme and business school can be a daunting task. Once you've thought about your budget, preferred location and/or how you want to study, you can start to narrow things down a little, but thereafter how can you make the best choice? Accreditation of business schools and their programmes can help, as these official seals of approval offer a very objective way of measuring a school's credentials. For example, the quality of education on offer, the facilities, the student body and the faculty are all reviewed." This sounds like a commercial message and has no place in Wikipedia. R Pollack

Neutrality

[edit]

I propose to undo the edits by Melissahmccrindle as she works at SBS and clearly hasn't read article guidlines on neutrality. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a student prospectus!

Conflict of interest

[edit]

Further to the above, it appears that at least one major contributor to this article has a close personal or professional connection to the topic, and thus has a conflict of interest. Conflict-of-interest editors are strongly discouraged from editing the article directly, but are always welcome to propose changes on the talk page (i.e., here). You can attract the attention of other editors by putting {{request edit}} (exactly so, with the curly parentheses) at the beginning of your request, or by clicking the link on the lowest yellow notice above. Requests that are not supported by independent reliable sources are unlikely to be accepted.

Please also note that our Terms of Use state that "you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation." An editor who contributes as part of his or her paid employment is required to disclose that fact. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 13:01, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
