Episode sequence

[edit]

This episode is listed in the introduction as Episode 3. However, technically, it is Episode 4. A few of the other episodes in the season make this same error, so I'm going to change them to match the rest of the articles that follow the sequence on the 1 episode page. — Parsa talk 02:57, 10 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Script

[edit]

In a feature article in Script magazine Andre Bormanis mentions that he suggested the line "Where no dog has gone before" and was pleased that not only was was it included but it was quoted by TV Guide. Maybe this could be added to the Production section, if other script or story notes can be found to go along with it. -- 109.79.67.53 (talk) 15:08, 24 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sussman and Strong mentioned the difficulty of writing the script for this episode before before the pilot began filming, before Archer was even cast. "01.03.03 Enterprise Staff Discusses Writing Process". StarTrek.com.
I will try to come back and add something about this later, but if anyone else does it first that would be great. -- 109.79.67.53 (talk) 15:28, 24 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I added a little bit about Sussman and Strong, maybe someone else could squeeze a little more out of that source but it is only a brief summary of the magazine article. There was plenty more from Andre Bormanis but I didn't want to unbalance the article and anyway he was talking his job on the show in general rather than about this episode specifically, but again maybe someone else could squeeze a little more out of that source. -- 109.79.75.58 (talk) 18:30, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Reviews

[edit]

Apparently the book Beyond the Final Frontier by Mark Jones, and Lance Parkin includes a review of this episode but I don't have access to that source and in this case Google Books does not happen to have even a snippet available from the relevant page, so I'm reluctant to add based on a second hand source[2] without checking it myself first. It seems like it would be worth adding though. - 109.79.75.58 (talk) 23:25, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

A larger article about the VFX of season 1 includes some information about this episode. Found this while looking for other things, but will come back to this later, eventually. -- 109.76.143.155 (talk) 04:50, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Eventually[3] done. I might add an image] ... eventually, but it is difficult to choose the best possible image from what is available. -- 109.79.168.147 (talk) 18:57, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
