Scottish Parliament meeting in the Great Hall
Did anyone else hear about a proposal that the Scottish Parliament was to meet in the Great Hall? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.12.144.21 (talk • contribs) 21:17, 1 May 2007
- No? Do you mean the Scottish Parliament, or the Parliament of Scotland?Edward Waverley 13:56, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

- Well, hardly "mystery solved", but useful info, thanks for posting. Jonathan Oldenbuck (talk) 20:35, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
Pictures
Hi there. I recently visited Stirling Castle and made some pictures. I have already added two of them to the gallery, since there were no pictures of the Chapel Royal interior previously. I also considered replacing some pictures in the article with new ones but I wanted to ask you first. The first pictures are those from the article and the second ones those I want to replace them with. What do you think? Janfrie1988 (talk) 14:43, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
-
This is a little too bright for my tastes and I think the people and flowers in the bottom are somewhat distractive
-
This one has a flag! ;)
-
Personally, I like the angle of this one better. It seems less "cut off". And there are no people in front of the Chapel.
-
Has a more clearly defined fore- and background, imo more natural colours and, most importantly, shows a lot more of the interestingly shaped outer wall.
I do prefer the second Chapel Royal exterior picture, it articulates the building better, as something placed on falling ground, without sacrificing any detail in the first. It also a little bit sharper, (showing the slight traces of the external painted decoration in the window tympana). Unoquha (talk) 17:45, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
- Okay, replaced that one. Lets see if we get more opinions on the other ones. Janfrie1988 (talk) 19:06, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
- As the photographer of the first photo, I still think that the angle of my photo is far better than the one over here. Maltesedog (talk) 15:35, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
- Some one should change pictures as suggested above, or use other pictures more recent than 2010.
Outer Defences
I have also uploaded the following picture but I am not completely sure if what is seen is indeed part of the Outer Defences that were built after the attempted Jacobite invasion of 1708. Can anyone help me out here? We could then add it to the article under Outer Defences. Janfrie1988 (talk) 19:41, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
