I don't quite know where to fit this in the article, but Trachsel has always been notorious for being one of the slowest-paced pitchers in baseball, particularly with men on base. I think he's sped things up in recent years and there are definitely others who are worse (Rafael Betancourt comes to mind), but for awhile it was the very first thing anyone thought of when they thought of Trachsel.
