Nicknames
[edit]The point is that is he is still known as Wally in reference to his previous name, Walters. How widley are the "Shrek" and "Pop Up Pirate" names use? Saint-djc 16:39, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
Authenticity check: A search reveals that the phrase "regarded by many" appears in the text. Is the phrase a symptom of a dubious statement? Could a source be quoted instead? Perhaps the "many" could be identified? Might text be edited to more genuinely reflect specific facts?
I've deleted them. There seems to be persistant vandalism saying that Thompson is the ugliest rugby player in the world. I suspect that the 'Shrek' tag is just a smear.GordyB 20:19, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
WikiProject class rating
[edit]This article was automatically assessed because at least one article was rated and this bot brought all the other ratings up to at least that level. BetacommandBot 04:40, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
Retirement
[edit]The article reads as is if he's still a current player. It's only in the final paragraph that it's revealed that he has retired.
Could we split this article into sections such as:
- Early Life
- Professional Career
- Retirement
What do you think? Funkybassuk 12:08, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Ok, I've changed the structure of the article to:
- Northampton Career
- International Career
- Playing Style
- Retirement
I might swap Playing Style and Retirement around.
