"The main reason he was so well-liked was his ability to know exactly what to do and exactly what would happen in any situation". i like the guy too, but isn't this a little overwrought for an encyclopedia article? he's not god.

Stone often calls the next strikeout pitch during his broadcast. One recurrent quote: "If he throws him the low outside slider here, he'll get him." Often enough, this happens. Another memorable Stone quote, but time, place, and circumstance needed: "Whatever [the pitching coach or manager] said to him [the pitcher, during the coach's visit to the mound], it wasn't 'Why don't you throw one down the middle and see how far he can hit it.'" --Said after a pitcher threw a home run pitch immediately after a visit to the mound by the coach.
