Written like an advert
[edit]I can't help the impression that this article was written as a promotional piece, especially considering that Hofstetter barely, if at all, crosses the notability threshold. --89.0.231.114 (talk) 01:32, 27 May 2014 (UTC)
SAG-AFTRA deletion
[edit]How come the sentence about SAG-AFTRA issuing a notice to union members to not work on the show was deleted? It's significant, and it seems as though it was scrubbed because it was the one thing that could construed as negative in this article. This whole thing reads like a puff piece. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.86.30.196 (talk) 18:40, 11 August 2014 (UTC)
No Agenda
[edit]There are clearly people with an agenda that keep posting re: the SAG notice. SAG/AFTRA issues Do Not Work notices often, and most syndicated shows are non-union. "Oprah" is an example of one of them. There have been entire TV networks that were non-union (like G4, for instance). The SAG/AFTRA notice that was linked to also says nothing about talent compensation - that was added by the author of that sentence. Wikipedia is not a place for polemics - unless you understand the intricacies of how television works and when a show must be union and when it can be non-union, please do not use Wikipedia as a place to further your agenda. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.197.94.1 (talk) 01:13, 12 August 2014 (UTC)
I feel as if this page has gotten out of hand.
[edit]People appear to be editing this page in an attempt to smear Mr. Hofstetter, But also, Mr. Hofstetter (or someone with a parallel level of pro-Hof bias) is editing the page.
If all of the other information is to be deemed relevant enough to be kept on the page, surely the SAG notice is newsworthy enough to appear on the page.
Information is information, whether positive or negative. Being in the public light means answering for your actions and stances. If the SAG notice is being put on the page in a way that is malicious, then perhaps Mr. Hofstetter should edit the page in a way that portrays the information in a non-polemic nature. Facts cannot be polemic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Buttzbuttzbuttz (talk • contribs) 18:53, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
Buttzbuttzbuttz, You're the one doing the editing
[edit]No, Mr. Hofstetter should not edit the page, and your suggestion reflects that you don't understand how wikipedia works. An unbiased source should edit it, and has. The SAG/AFTRA notice is on the page, and has been for a few weeks, in a factual context. (You can see the history of any wiki page). There's no reason to speak in third person - you are the one who posted the notice, twice, (with opinion added that was not contained within the notice that you linked to). Your wiki account has never contributed to any other articles, and your IP is the same as the one that changed this article a few times - it's clear that you have a biased position here. Please let the wikimods do their job.
who is his feature in the current tour?
[edit]i caught his show tonight (9/8/21) in indy. i missed hearing the name of the blond guy who opened for him, and figured i could just look it up online afterwoards, but i'm not finding anything.
also, nothing in the article about when he owned morty's, a comedy joint in north indy. it's a panera now.

non-notable / advertisement article
[edit]Does anyone think that this non-notable vanity article should be deleted? I was thinking of nominating it for deletion but I wanted to wait to see if someone more experienced would do it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bashful gambino (talk • contribs) 21:57, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
- It reads a lot like an article. This should be nominated for deletion. Your real son (talk) 16:40, 31 July 2023 (UTC)
