The college is home to the National Clearinghouse for Science, Technology and the Law and has Centers for Excellence in Advocacy, Elder Law, and Higher Education Law and Policy, as well as the Institute for Caribbean Law and Policy and Institute for Biodiversity Law and Policy.

The Stetson Law Review was the Headquarters for the National Conference of Law Reviews from 2003–2008. The Journal of International Wildlife Law and Policy, Journal of Aging Law & Policy, Stetson Law Review, and Stetson Journal of Advocacy and the Law are produced in conjunction with the school.

Stetson University is ranked 111th among law schools nationally by U.S. News & World Report,[6] and among specialty rankings, the school is ranked second in trial advocacy and tied for fifth in legal writing. Stetson had a 74.4% Bar passage in October 2020, a 77.6% bar passage rate on the July 2019 administration of the Florida Bar Examination, a 67.2% bar passage rate on the July 2018 administration of the Florida Bar Examination, and a 76.8% bar passage rate on the July 2017 administration of the Florida Bar Examination.

The law library employs six professional librarians and seven additional staff members including the Systems Administrator and the Access Management & Services Team.

Student Life
Since 1980, Stetson Law has won five world championships, 79 national championships, 97 regional championships, 52, state championships, 60 brief awards, 174 Brief Oralist and six professionalism awards.

Stetson has won The Florida Bar Trial Lawyers Section Chester Bedell Mock Trial Competition 25 times in 38 years.

Stetson was the first-ever ABA Competitions Champion in 2018 and was named the 2021 Competitions Champion.

Stetson Law won The Florida Bar Foundation 2021 Florida Pro Bono Law School Challenge.

Stetson Law is one of the few law schools across the country that guarantees every student can participate in a clinic or externship during law school. It offers students more than 300 clinic and externship opportunities annually.

Diversity and Inclusion
Stetson University College of Law received the 2020 Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award from INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine, the oldest and largest diversity-focused publication in higher education. The HEED Award is a national honor recognizing U.S. colleges, universities and professional schools that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Stetson Law joined the 11 other law schools in Florida to form the Florida Law Schools’ Consortium for Racial Justice (FLSCRJ). This collective will leverage the strengths and educational roles of every law school in the state to assist community organizations fighting for racial justice and policy reform throughout Florida.

Stetson Law is one of four higher education institutions who collectively serve 36,000 students in St. Petersburg, Florida, that joined together to create the St. Petersburg Higher Education Consortium for Racial Justice focused on dismantling racial hierarchies. The consortium includes Eckerd College, Stetson University College of Law, St. Petersburg College (SPC) and the University of South Florida (USF) St. Petersburg campus. After working for months to create a shared vision and reaching out to community and campus stakeholders, their efforts were recognized by the American Association of Colleges and Universities as one of 78 institutions (and the only consortium) across the nation selected to participate in a four-day Summer Institute to learn about the Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation (TRHT) framework and develop an action plan.
