Merge proposal
[edit]Since Sterlite Industries has been merged with Sesa Goa (with effect from 18 September 2013) to form Sesa Sterlite Limited,[1] therefore this article should be merged with Sesa Sterlite Limited.

Adding section on anti-Sterlite protests
[edit]As of April 1, 2018, several protests have sprung up around the world to protest the Sterlite plant in Thoothukudi, the emissions of which have long been cited to have negative health effects on the population of Thoothukudi and its surroundings.
