Could someone define what sterocilia is? The current description says where it is and how misleading the name is, but it says nothing about what it is. Thank you. (anon - july 19)
It would be easy to rename this structure stereovilli with no confusion regarding the transition, and would make understanding the structure and nature of the extended and anastomosing microvilli much more obvious. Sovbeos (talk) 20:57, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
