1. Well-written:
1a. the prose is clear, concise, and understandable to an appropriately broad audience; spelling and grammar are correct.
  • He performed around 100 times at the Bayreuth Festival, especially as Tannhäuser, first in 2004, Siegfried, and Tristan, all three even in one year in 2022 which earned him names such as Iron Man. - the many commas is confusing, this needs to be reordered; perhaps, "He performed around 100 times at the Bayreuth Festival, notably as Tannhäuser starting in 2004, and later Siegfried and Tristan. In 2022, his performance in all three roles earned him nicknames such as Iron Man."
  • I did some general shuffling around throughout, feel free to revert it if you oppose and we can discuss
  • He appeared as Aegisth in Elektra by Richard Strauss in a concert performance in Berlin - shouldn't this go under the "Concert" section?
  • All the recordings listed should be converted to Template:Cite AV media
1b. it complies with the Manual of Style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation.
2. Verifiable with no original research:
2a. it contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline. Citations are in a proper "References" section
2b. reliable sources are cited inline. All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose). Most sources are opera house websites or newspapers- all reliable
2c. it contains no original research.
2d. it contains no copyright violations or plagiarism. Earwig shows high score due to long names- no copyvios
3. Broad in its coverage:
3a. it addresses the main aspects of the topic. As is the same some of the other singers, I feel that some more personality could be given to him in this article. I like your inclusion of the quote under "Bayreuth" but it seems rather out of place there. Perhaps make a new para just about his style and feelings on certain roles
3b. it stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style).
  • In 1989, he stepped in for Chris Merritt at the Los Angeles Opera as Argirio in Rossini's Tancredi, alongside Marilyn Horne - is the detail about Horne important here? I don't think it's too necessary to include
  • at the Bavarian State Opera in 2001, in a production directed by Peter Konwitschny - is the director important?
  • He performed his first Wagner role in Linz in 2002 as Tannhäuser. - might be my lack of opera knowledge speaking, but is the Linz particularly notable? Is it worth mentioning when his first performance in Wagner role there was?
  • staged by Tankred Dorst and conducted again by Thielemann - is this necessary to include?
  • "Tannhäuser's character is more appropriate to me than Siegfried", said Gould to Forum Opéra in December 2007 - IMO, not important: cut
  • Tannhäuser was then the production staged by Tobias Kratzer, with the title role as a sad clown, and Götterdämmerung was staged by Valentin Schwarz [de]. Gould said in an interview then: "Wagner is meditation, a mantra", hoping for spiritual depth, not entertainment.[13] - ditto as above
4. Neutral: it represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each.
5. Stable: it does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute.
6. Illustrated, if possible, by media such as images, video, or audio:
6a. media are tagged with their copyright statuses, and valid non-free use rationales are provided for non-free content. Image is rightly CC tagged
6b. media are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions. Image of him is relevant and properly captioned
7. Overall assessment.

How lovely to begin the year with a GA improvement - thank you!
1 I took your suggestion about the lead sentence split. I believe that Aegisth should still be opera, as an operatic role, not like singing in a mass or recital. I'am unfamiliar with the template, but could learn - just not immediately.
3 Generally: project opera doesn't like laundry lists of just names of notable colleagues, conductors and directors, therefore I try to mention them in the context of productions. Horne, for example, was one of the mezzo stars, with whom this beginner had a chance to sing. - His first performance of a Wagner role should be mentioned with time and location, and I think it's better to say Linz precisely than "an Austrian medium-importance opera house". - Also generally: I believe that his saying of (the insecure poet) Tannhäuser being more for him than (the strong hero) Siegfried is some of the "personal" touch you want, and fits better in the Bayreuth context than some extra paragraph, same for his putting Wagner in an almost religious context. @Gerda Arendt, my main reason for commenting this is that it ensures consistency and proper formatting across the recordings. I am not sure of what template would be best for this, but since cite recording doesn't exist, Cite AV media seems to be the best fit. I'll ask this: do you believe that all recordings are formatted like they would be in other articles? Again, I'm not sure about the standards here. @Gerda Arendt, now I see- how were the recordings listed selected? From what I see on the muziekweb site, Gould appeared on many more than the ones listed in the article. @Gerda Arendt, I went ahead and made the bold decision to cut the recordings present and rephrase the sentence a bit, adding a different citation. A more complete list of recordings would need to look more like it does in Robert Hale (bass-baritone), which has citations for each recordings listed.
