[edit]Hi Nyttend i noticed this article at DYK where i have a nom. In the colors used here, i am making up color templates for your "Outstanding" and "Notable" types, so that u can use those rather than colors defined for other meanings in articles like this. Please feel free to change the colors of these two colors if u prefer a different shade. There already was a "CP color" template. Gimme a few minutes now. --Doncram (talk) 04:20, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
- I implemented 2 more shades of green in Template:Outstanding color and Template:Notable color. CP color was already a green. Hopefully this helps. Note, the NRHP color and the HD color used in the NRHP infobox above are conveying different meaning. Of course you can say screw all the previously defined use of the NRHP color, NHL color, HD color and other historic-site-related color definitions, but I would rather keep them meaningful. There are plenty of other colors to pick from. --Doncram (talk) 04:35, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
- I objected to your change because I misunderstood what was going on — I thought that you changed it away from an all-blue set of colors to a mix of blue and green colors. I opposed that because it wasn't intuitive (why mix two kinds of colors?), but now that I know what's going on, I have no complaints. Please blame it on my red-green colorblindness. - Okay, no problem. Please do feel free to change the color shades chosen, especially for the new Outstanding color and new Notable color, so far used in just this article i think. The CP color is widely used, so perhaps any change should be mentioned at wt:NRHP. I notice now that using MS Internet Explorer right now, that the shade displayed for "Outstanding color" is greyish, not the greenish "Camouflage Green" i saw previously, perhaps due to Firefox displaying that correctly, or perhaps due to some other difference in the computer i am on now vs. then. So maybe u did see different colors than i had put in. I can't find right now the whole list of colors i picked from; it was from one of the links at wp:Colors. --doncram 16:34, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
