Potentially dubious. Tongass Trading Company has operated since 1898. Tatsuda's Store has operated since 1916. From reading the nomination form, Ohashi's may have the latter beat, but it wasn't 100 percent clear. Also, the information in the nomination form is approximately 20 years old. From looking at the district on Google Street View, it's also unclear as to whether or not a business currently operates at 223 Stedman. The 2014–2015 Ketchikan phone book shows a listing for a family named Ohashi, but no business under that name. I didn't have time to go look for a Polk directory.
