[edit]

The staue was dedicated by Confederate General's wife and daughters of Ben Hardin Helm. The head speaker for the dedication was Henry Watterson, former Confederate Soldier. No statue of Kentucky was erected by the state of Kentucky until 2001 in Mississippi. All of the Kentucky Lincoln statues were paid for by private or Federal funds. Kentucky simply did not like the man.donitakelly@consultant.com —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.172.54.168 (talk) 12:18, 22 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure what about Kentucky not liking Lincoln at a particular point of time has to do with the content of this article, which is about the statue, not Lincoln himself, nor the politics of the state. Stevie is the man! TalkWork 15:38, 22 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
