[edit]The grammar of this page is all mucked up. I'll see if I can fix it, and maybe have a leisurely browse through my copies of the series and add a bit. --Eric TF Bat 00:07, 26 August 2005 (UTC)
Powers
[edit]Can we actually list the powers that the rod gives him, and simply note it as the source, rather than listing nothing?
- I second that. Batman has no superpowers, but it doesn't say he has no skills of his own. If I recall correctly, Jack Knight had trained in some form of martial arts (Ninjitsu, I think) and has used such training in his fights. And the powers of the cosmic rod (flight, light ray, etc.) should also be listed as part of Knight's powers. 76.228.117.12 (talk) 10:16, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
Infobox streamlining
[edit]In regards to the edit of this character's "Notable Powers" section of the Infobox, please see revelant topics at Wikipedia:WikiProject Comics/templates and Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Comics#Infobox: Powers section. Thanks. dfg 05:05, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
- Next time, pleae do more than just erase information. If you don't like it there, ADD the relevant in-article section.ThuranX 05:33, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
Confusing
[edit]Hello. Let me clarify my tagging of this article as "confusing". First off, it should cut off into a "character history" section. Second, that same history reads in a way which is hard for someone unfamiliar to understand. I assumed someone more familiar would be better suited to correct it, thus the tag. ACS (Wikipedian); Talk to the Ace. See what I've edited. 22:21, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
- I have edited to break up sections, review for tense, and expanded some sections. Next I'll work for a more 'Out-of-universe', but that's not a 'confusion tag' matter. ThuranX 01:15, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
Ref Tag
[edit]per the tag, I've moved the embedded refs which were already present into fuller cites at the end. It appears that while I was working on that, Brian Boru removed the tagging. I'll assume this meas I've satisfied the needs of the tagger. ThuranX 18:53, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
Gaiman Aside
[edit]I've deleted the section on Neil Gaiman: offtopic trivia and not likely to be true, give the raison'detre of Image Comics. NG famously objected to the use of his character "Death" in Captain Atom #42 but could not stop it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.155.68.167 (talk) 20:01, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
Blackest Night and Starman #81
[edit]It at least needs mentioned. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.251.143.160 (talk) 07:44, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
Split
[edit]The is enough notability for articles both on the character Starman (Jack Knight) and the series Starman (1994 series) in which he appeared. The series was critical acclaimed and won several Eisners and other awards.--Beware the Unknown (talk) 07:37, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
- Notability, yes. Content, no.
- Ideally, the real world context for both volumes of the comic should be laid out within Starman (comics). If that article becomes overly long, ~70k file size mark, then things can be split out of it. And the likely cuts there are going to be 3 of the characters - Mikaal, Gavyn, and Payton - and story arcs from Starman v2.
- Also keep in mind, there is no need to split anything out of this article at this time. Content wise or file size wise.
- - J Greb (talk) 15:11, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
- And just moved it over to the hub article.
- For all practical purposes Starman (comics) is where the information should be housed as the more general article. Not with an article on a particular one of the Starmen.
