"The" in title

Is there a special reason why "The" is included at the start of the article name? My reading of Wikipedia:Naming conventions (definite and indefinite articles at beginning of name) is that this should be avoided where possible.— Rod ^talk 19:50, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request Rename

The is not part of the museum's name. The title should conform to the Wikipedia Naming conventions. As I read the help section, this requires that a new page be created in the correct or new name and the old page be directed to the new page to keep its history intact. I am too new to create a page so am requesting assistance. Stark Museum of Art, Jenniffer Hudson Connors, Librarian.
