Decoration allowance

[edit]

I have included the criteria for "decoration allowance". Since the overwhelming majority of awards of the Star of Courage are for gallantry in Australia only the few servicepersons who are awarded the medal for gallantry overseas in an area subject to the VEA will ever be eligible for the allowance. Civil Recipients

[edit]

I have added 2 civil recipients, I am currently searching for any list of recipients to add all 135 people military and civil, please bear with me or if you can, help me to put everyone on. 135 is probably a few too many to comfortably list on this page. This page is fundamentally about the medal itself - perhaps it would be better (once a significant number of people are identified) to start an article dedicated to the recipients? List of recipients of the Star of Courage (Australia) would be the logical choice. This is the usual practice for medals/decorations which have a substantial number of recipients. Additionally, if we have biographical articles on any of the recipients here on wikipedia, we could create and add them to Category:Recipients of the Star of Courage (Australia). cf the contents of Category:Recipients of Australian military awards and decorations and Category:Recipients of Australian civil awards and decorations. --Xdamrtalk 22:50, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orders, Decorations, and Medals of Australia Australian Honours Order of Precedence

[edit]

I have no idea how to amend the title of the 'Orders, Decorations, and Medals of Australia Australian Honours Order of Precedence' at the bottom of the article and rename it 'Chart of Orders, Decorations, and Medals of Australia'. I would delete 'Australian Honours Order of Precedence' since that document has been superseded by the 'Australian Order of Wear'. Neither the previous Order of Precedence or the current Order of Wear bear any similarity to this chart. Anthony Staunton (talk) 14:22, 12 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

G'day Anthony, to change that I believe you would have to edit the template: {{Australian Honours System}}. Regards, AustralianRupert (talk) 12:13, 15 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
