Opening a talk page for the Staple article. I would like to re-expand the fibre and textile use of the word "staple" to include the synonym "lock" or "tuft." This was floated as a revision earlier this month but taken down because "we already have this." Actually, that use of the term was not in the previous versions.

Reason I care: working on article about sheep and wool and would like to have as many uses of the word "staple" as are applicable. In an article (still not posted) from which I would like to link to the wiki page on staple, the meaning of the word is not length or usable length, but lock or tuft.
