Draft talk: STRENDA
The STRENDA project is an academic project that is concerned with the current reporting situation of enzyme kinetics data which is - at a detailed view - unsatisfiying as in too many reports there is too much missing information which prevents readers from both corroborating and reproducing the findings.
STRENDA stands in a line with many other academic minimum information standards projects (such as MIAPE, MIAME, MIAMET, MIRAGE, just to name a few) aiming at standardizing experimental designs and protocols as well as data reporting. Many of these standards are interconnected as can be seen from the FAIRsharing portal.
Thus, for researchers not yet aware of these standards it might be helpful to get a quick overview of the backgrounds, aims and "products" of these initiatives rather than reading their comprehensive publications.
That's why, the STRENDA Commission decided to publish a short overview article on Wikipedia; less as advertising but much more as a first contact point for information. However, as the project is described in more detail on the project's website [1] it may be inevitable that parts of the Wikipedia article appear to be copied since the contibutor (Snoopy68) to this Wikipedia article is the same person who created the projects' pages.
