Merger proposal

[edit]

I propose to merge Standard Gross Margin into Farm Structure Survey. As the article on the SGM is really focused on the specifics of the implementation of one specific part of the FSS and European Union Farm Statistics, it seems a bit hyper-specific to have as an independent page. The merging as a portion of the FSS page would allow it to work around the issues of "Short Text" and "Context" which it has at present. It seems unlikely that specific minutia of SGM will be expanded on a huge amount, and I'm unaware of any other articles on censuses or other census-like instruments which then have a specific measurement that they take as their own seperate wiki article. • Comment Any such merger will require some rewriting and follow-up research and specifics on the FSS page to provide context for the UK specific content in GSS, especially post-Brexit. Unsure if there is still the need to give a specific example of how the SGM is calculated though. Wcconey (talk) 16:04, 10 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
