Tone/refs/COI
[edit]Contributors seeking to use Wikipedia as a means to promote their wares (like an upcoming album) should read WP:COI, WP:NOTADVERTISING, and any number of related policies which set out the expectations for suitably balanced and referenced contributions.
Also, Wikipedia is not NME or Hot Press, so music journo flourishes like "during a very cold February in New York" or woolly editorial flourishes like "some time was taken to gather thoughts and energies" serve only as flowery bumf and have no place on the project. (And don't get me started on outrightly subjective and entirely unattributed opinions like "This is Empire Circus most mature and sonically rich album to date".)
Unless this most recent codology can be addressed, the article will need to be reverted to this "pre-recent promo" state. Or pared back to an otherwise basic/balanced/referenced state. Guliolopez (talk) 00:52, 23 January 2019 (UTC)
- Resolved Not having heard anything back on the above, I have gone ahead with the summarisation (or outright removal) of promo/etc. Guliolopez (talk) 00:06, 10 April 2019 (UTC)
