Hi all, We will be editing the stage of death wikipages. Please let us know if you have any feedback to our suggestions!
Why this one? Include WP rating scale? How fit with your interests. Other details as desired
Dying is a very common part of life and we don’t spend a lot of time in medicine learning about the experience of death, so this seemed like and opt opportunity to dive deep. This is rated as start on the WP rating scale, hence it is an important article that still need to be developed.
Your WP editing team (up to 3) Jar-Yee , Aunoy, Manuella
Initial Analysis of the article The article seems very sparse, the definition of death for example has a very biomedical lens and doesn’t talk about the cultural differences of death. Overall organization, what changes
What will you add? We will add some more information about how death is defined and who was responsible for those definitions. We will also dive deep into the history of the stage of death and how it has changed historically. The article lacks a legal explanation of death so this could be added as well. Lastly, we will attempt to actually define the perimortem changes of death
What will you remove? There is very little information on the page, hence we will most likely add information rather than remove any information.
What will you augment? We will augment the definition of somatic and molecular death. We will contextualize the different types of death outlined in the article ( respiratory arrest, cardiac arrest and brain death) and show how they can be related to each other. What will you decrease coverage of? The article currently devotes a lot of space to defining the stages of decomposition. We will most likely decrease coverage of this topic since this is an event that occurs after death.
