[edit]What distinguishes the stadion from other kinds of foot races? - furrykef (Talk at me) 17:48, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Well it's like the 100 meters in the modern Olympics - it was the shortest and fastest, and the one all the spectators wanted to watch. Adam Bishop 00:13, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Disambiguation
[edit]This topic is worth a separate disambiguation page. I will create it now, and move this page to "Stadion (ancient sports)". I first thought of "Stadion (ancient foot race)", but as the article is about both the foot race and the building, and it seems reasonable to keep those two topics in one article (this one), I found "Stadion (ancient sports)" to be a reasonable article name. Starting block
[edit]if they started upright, how could they have used "starting blocks"? DGG (talk) 19:53, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
- Is it just me, or does the thing in the map look like a cock? 74.138.156.155 (talk) 18:04, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
