Name

[edit]

Can we adjust the name of the article, so that it does not conflict with similar articles, such as St Jude's Church, Karachi? I would suggest renaming it 'St Jude's Church, Courtfield Gardens', or 'St Jude's Church (London)'. Basil Jradeh (talk) 16:01, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I see your point. Wikipedia really needs a disambiguation page for all these churches! I'll rename it St Jude's Church, Kensington (there is more than one St Jude's in London). Sionk (talk) 16:13, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Great, 'Kensington' sounds a better choice. I will update a couple of other articles now, that mention the building but weren't linked to it. In terms of your early criticism of the Pevsner article being about the Vicarage only, this is not correct - the Pevsner article is about the church, and has one sentence or so about the Vicarage (it is, afterall, an encyclopedia about churches, not vicarages). I would disagree with it not being a notable building in itself, purely on the fact that it is listed Grade II*, rather than just II. As wikipedia says, II* labels 'particularly important buildings of more than special interest'. Very much open to a different point of view though.
